喫煙所併設の為、以前は、如何にも「20歳未満の方は入れない」たばこ臭がしていた上に、自販機の飲料やガシャポンこそ、現金決済可能なものの、白岡市の地産品の購入に関しては、スマホ決済（クレカのタッチ決済・PayPay・モバイルSuica）限定の「ピックスルー」なのが痛かった…が、
2025年12月8日に、白岡駅を利用ついでに立ち寄った際には、喫煙所と休憩所が壁で隔てられて分煙化されており、たばこ臭も無く、快適に使えた。
（もっとも、2025年11月28日19時をもって、ソレ迄有った、スマホ決済によるピックスルーの終了に伴い、白岡市の各種地産品の販売も一旦終了となって、「休憩所＝便利なバス待ちスポット」ともなったが…？）
